Pietro Barbaro Group is an Italian shipping company combining oil transportation needs, logistical supports and shipping expertise. The company is owned by the Barbaro Family, specialised in shipowning, ship management and ship agency .
Barbaro Family has been active in the shipping market for over 150 years. The vessel (“brik”) “Pietro Barbaro” of 800 DWT was used to transport bulk cargo at the time when crossing the Atlantic Ocean on the trade-winds could have taken 100 days.
Throughout the years Pietro Barbaro SPA managed an extremely wide-range of commercial activities, with regard both to the shipping trade and to the services offered. The company is now a modern organization with 250 employees and with the two head offices in Rome and Palermo.
